Dammit. In NJ, RE prices are so damn high, 350-400Kgets us a starter home. Unfortunately, HGTV has created a monster, in which, adding white cabinets and open kitchen is now a life or death situation. Does anyone have advice on how to achieve this? I am fairly handy but am wondering what if painting is reasonable with this guide: http://www.practicallyspoiled.com/2015/07/22/from-hate-to-great-a-tale-of-painting-oak-cabinets/
(kitchen is almost exactly like this one).
Please help a poor soul.
-Is painting reasonable option? Does it end up looking good or terrible with orange peel, etc?
-Do 'kitchen refinishing' companies charge more than it would cost to buy contractor grade cabinets from HD?
-At what point do you consider getting rid of the wife? Please advise
